I love you class of '82 (I was a year younger). I was a trombone player from a very small town, but was only 5 chairs from the All-State band in my junior year there. We then moved back to E. Texas to little Trinity, where I was first chair among all others from Tyler, Longview, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, etc.

Would it be possible to add a roster/legend to the group photo? I know it might take a little effort, but I think it would be great to be able to put a name with a face.

Thanks to all of you! Moving to NC has been a rough adjustment for me and hanging out with all my old friends really lifted my spirits. It was a blast hearing the old stories and the funny high school perceptions we had. Please, let's all keep in touch, so we can arrange happy hours in Bryan every so often. I know I expect a big turnout when I announce my arrival to Bryan each time!

are for this reunion? I know the golf course is not charging us, other than out of our own pockets. The Fox & Hound should not be charging us. And the City picnik should be minimal. The Sat. night HALL should have a fee, but, how much?Postage & thick paper invitations are expensive, HOW MUCH (we should do this electronically, NO COST)
Nonof this should be secret. How about our class donating to a local charity in our CLASS NAME?
We actually should start a funding of a private charitable organization on behalf of the class of 82.

"Linda just to let you know i was up earily in the morning looking for work and i was able to find a job as a stocker at a store i just started to work yesterday." Great, now that is so good. You still might want to try the worksource to get training in a specific skill, so you won't have to deal with having this kind of difficulty in the future...Take care, Linda

Growing up, we always thought of the Homecoming Games as for the students. In reality, this is a game for the Alumni. We need to see which weekend this is and try to have a get together. Nothing special, just a time to say "Hi" if your in town.
Another thought is to coordinate with the classes we attended BHS with ('80-'84) for a "rolling" reunion with all these classes invited. Each class would host on "their" year (i.e. '83 in 2008, '84 in 2009 and '80 in 2010, etc). All the classes would be invited but you better be there for "your" year. Why wait another five years to see our friends?

It was great to see everyone (while I could actually see). I can't wait to get together again in 5 years.
As of Sunday, I had already bumped into two couples (from class of 82) that live here in town but did not go. I just don't understand why. Old grudges, cliques, and misunderstandings are just that... OLD. Half of the fun of going to these things is the abilty to get past all of that stuff and rub elbows with even those people who you weren't close to in high school. I'd like to make an extended effort to both find and contact "the missing" classmates for our next reunion, and to also harrass those who don't come to these things into finally attending. It's for their own good, after all.

Hey James and everybody. I talked to Andrea already who said it was a great time. Sorry I missed you guys but promise to be there next time. Probobly sooner 'cause the wife hasn't been to Texas yet. I don't understand why anyone would not want to go. 25 years is a long time to still not like that guy for shooting spit wads into your big poofy hair, ( sorry ).
I plan on being there next time. Am I considered missing? If so, if I were on the missing persons committee could I find myself? Hmmm...Deep thought. (ouch)
Can't wait for the pictures

No! But there is Golf at Bryan Muni on Friday the 20th. The first tee time will be at 8:00 so we can finish early and maybe catch some lunch and be in shape for the Friday evening function.
You won't find Al Czervik, Judge Smails or that nose pickin' Spaulding on the course but you will see:
Mike Smith, Bear Ramirez, John Huff, Carl Weedon, Rob Armstrong (maybe)Victor Alderete & his daughter, Anthony Munoz, Mike Chavarria, David Yandell, Ricky Canatella, Robbie Roberts, Tim Spencer, Shawn & Diane Hunt, Bees Sheffield, and Wes Carver (Janelle's Hubby),
Hey you ladies can bring your designer jeans and ride on the carts for $8 each ($16 total you can split with someone else)
I'll even try to track down Danny Noonan.

I just checked the RSVP list that Delisa added to the homepage, and there are only 77 people signed up to attend??? Where the heck IS everybody? Wonder how many replied to say that they're NOT coming? And wonder how many didn't RSVP, but are just gonna show up?
I'm really surprised at the lack of response. I mean, this is one of the BIG reunions... I would have expected the 25th would draw a huge amount of interest. Props to everyone involved in organizing the site and the reunion. See y'all in a week!

I think it would be great to pose that question to everyone. "Do you want your contact information available online?" It would be great if we could put it behind a sign in so it wasn't available to every Tom, Dick & Harry. But could be here and kept updated. It is so wrong that we only get in touch with each other every 5 years or so.

Sorry, I had to do that... Ready? O-KAY.
ANYWAY... I wanted to thank all of you who participated in the musical trip down memory lane by suggesting songs and artists for reunion weekend. I wish I could say that I was able to satisfy every request, but there were a few songs and artists that I haven't managed to add to my collection yet.
The discs are burned, and I FedExed them to Delisa today. I think it wound up being about 180 songs, 10 discs. Pretty sure there'll be something on them for everyone.
Look forward to seeing all of you on Friday night next week!

I e-mailed Delisa a few days ago, offering to put together some CDs of music from back in the day. She's gonna check with the people at Fox & Hound to see if they'll let us play our own music on Friday night.
I'm happy to take requests. I don't know if I'll have EVERYTHING that you might request, but I have a LOT of stuff from back then.
So, gang, let's get some song titles or band names thrown out here, and I'll start burning...

Alright Vikes, time to look back at some of the tough decisions we had back in 1982. What would you choose, or rather what was your choice?
For Music - Tip Top Records or Musicland?
Mexican Food - Pepe's or Taco Villa?
Radio Station - "101" KLOL or KMJQ "Majic 102"?
Rock Group - Journey or AC/DC?
Soul Group - Cameo or Kool and the Gang?
Country Group - Alabama or Ronnie Milsap (so he's not a group)
Designer Jeans - Jordache or Calvin Klein (neither for me)
Just a few of the tough decisions we made on a daily basis WITHOUT counseling, prozac or any medically prescribed drug! Ah life in the '80's!!
